KM Systems Group (KMSG) announces membership in the MELEMAX Team, winner of Department of Energy / National Nuclear Security Administration Blanket Purchase Agreement award; KMSG will provide program and earned value management support for mission critical programs at the Department of Energy.

KM Systems Group (KMSG), a leading management consulting firm, announced today that it is a member of the MELEMAX Team, which completed a successful bid for the Department of Energy / National Nuclear Security Administration Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for Technical, Programmatic, and Engineering Support Services. This BPA has a 5-year period of performance and a ceiling of $300 million. The scope of work covers a range of areas including:

  • Program Management Support
  • Nuclear Engineering Subject Matter Expertise & Analytical Support
  • Training Support
  • Security Management Support
  • Weapons Data Access System Programmatic Support
  • Emergency Operations (Domestic & International) Support
  • Aviation Operations Support
  • Nuclear Nonproliferation
  • Environmental Management

The BPA may be used by all offices within the Department of Energy and NNSA. MELEMAX is comprised of select companies with a proven record of quality performance and dedication at the DOE/NNSA.

KMSG has a strong background in successfully supporting Program Management and Earned Value Management (EVM) Systems (EVMS) for government departments, agencies and contractors. EVM is a valuable tool for project management because it combines key metrics for scope, schedule and cost into a single, integrated system, allowing program managers to assess contractor and program progress in an objective manner. In addition to tracking progress, EVM provides an early warning of project performance issues before they significantly impact the project and in time to implement corrective actions.

“KMSG already has a successful track record providing effective EVM Systems for Department of Energy (DOE) Laboratories. The execution of this BPA enables a unique partnership between the MELEMAX team members’ broad range of capabilities and DOE experience with KMSG’s EVM expertise,” said Dave Scott, KMSG Managing Director. “The BPA is a critically important contract vehicle for the DOE to accelerate support for major programs. In addition, the BPA enables the DOE to engage small businesses with unique capabilities like EVM.”
